Our July members meeting was held in the plush surroundings of the Saffery Champness offices and another great attendance of over 50+ members and guests sipped wine whilst looking out over our beautiful city.
After a welcome from our President we heard from Karen Lloyd of Street Games who introduced us to the ‘Sports to your doorstep’ initiative and explained the great ways they integrate young people in sports programmes to boost confidence. An inspiring talk that ended with an opportunity to sponsor a duck in the Bristol race in September – details of this are on our BJC Facebook Page
The main speaker was Steven Pearce, a leadership and skills coach, who spoke about the secrets of influential people. An enlightening talk that covered strategy, self-awareness and styles of influencing (full minutes are always circulated in the weekly email).
A lively meeting with group discussions and Q&A was adjourned in the local bar, pictured below and thanks to all that attended!
