October Monthly Meeting Review –
This month took us to Pigsty on Gloucester Road which is owned by the Kohn brothers. We heard from the remarkable Olly Kohn, former Harlequinns rugby player (also having played for Wales in the 2013 Six Nations). Olly took us through his experience from professional rugby player to entrepreneur, having founded the Jolly Hog sausages, concessions and restaurant businesses. It was clear that he was very dedicated to making his business work when an injury forced his retirement from being a professional sportsman. Olly stressed it is key to get outside your comfort zone to help with success. We also got to try a selection of sausages and I can see why the sausages are Michel Roux Jnr’s favourite, they were delicious. Pigsty is on Gloucester Road and Jolly Hog sausages and bacon can be purchased there and in Sainsburys.
