Bristol Junior Chamber elects new Council of Management

Bristol’s longest running networking society for young professionals is looking towards a year of
‘Bristol through me’ following the unveiling of its new leadership team.


The Bristol Junior Chamber, the city’s pre-eminent organisa on for young professionals, elected its
new Council of Management during its AGM on Tuesday 7 April, held at the Society of Merchant
Venturers.


Following a year as Vice President, Jyles Allen, a Financial Adviser from Quilter, formally took on the
leadership of the BJC for the coming year, outlining his plans under the central theme of ‘Bristol
through me’.


In his speech welcoming the new Council, Jyles spoke about his forward-looking vision rooted in the
Chamber’s long-standing commitment to developing young leaders and contribu ng to the city’s
civic and professional life. His year will focus on celebra ng Bristol’s rich heritage, harnessing the
energy and talent that defines the city today, and preparing members to play an ac ve role in
shaping its future. By strengthening connec ons between past and present members, crea ng
meaningful opportuni es for leadership development, and deepening the Chamber’s impact across
Bristol, he aims to ensure the organisa on con nues to play a vital role in the city’s ongoing story.


This con nues the work over the past year under now-Immediate Past President, Connor Jones,
which has seen the BJC deliver on its promise of providing members with more opportuni es to
innovate and collaborate. Of his year, Connor remarks “It has been a real privilege to lead this
organisa on for the last year, witnessing our membership grow, whilst con nuing to facilitate a wide
variety of events and ini a ves for the benefit of our members. I look forward to seeing incoming
President, Jyles Allen, carry this forward and con nue to make the Bristol Junior Chamber the leader
for young working professionals in our city.”


During the past 12 months, the BJC has endeavoured to remain a strong voice for young
professionals across Bristol. Promo ng opportuni es for individuals to grow and develop is central to
the ethos of the Bristol Junior Chamber, and whether through monthly speaker events, interna onal
exchanges, or regular book club, run club, or breakfast mee ngs, the organisa on has strived to do
that.


Jyles Allen, newly elected President of the Bristol Junior Chamber, said: “As a local Bristol boy, it’s

opportunity to make an impact not just for our members, but across the city and wider region. I’d
