What motivated you to join the BJC?

I was looking for interesting new experiences and an opportunity to meet new people within a new city.

Can you share a memorable experience or highlight from your time with the Chamber?

We recently had the opportunity to have a delicious Sunday lunch at Leigh Court. I was great to spend time with other members in such a historic venue and one so important to the BJC.

How has being a part of the BJC impacted your personal or professional life?

After pushing myself out of my comfort zone in the welcoming BJC community I can now class myself as someone who enjoys meeting new people!

What is your favourite event or activity that the BJC organises, and why?

I enjoy exploring the local countryside with the monthly walking club. It’s a great way to talk with other members in an informal setting whilst finding new places.

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about becoming a member of the BJC?

Come to as many events as possible – it’s the best way to sample all that the BJC has to offer, and you’ll very quickly start to develop new and long-lasting connections.

What makes the BJC stand out from other networking or professional groups?

The BJC makes every effort to get value for their members. They put on such a broad variety of events that there will always be something going on no matter your interests. They also strike the perfect balance between fun and professional, with something for everyone.

Can you talk about a time when you felt especially proud to be a member of the BJC?

Walking with the BJC during Bristol Pride was an amazing experience to show support for our members and the wider population of Bristol.

Why you would recommend new members to join?

The BJC has helped me grow both professionally and personally. With the BJC I have been able to explore parts of the city I never would have before, with a fun group of new people.
