What motivated you to join the BJC?

The activities, the social side, book club and the current members.

Can you share a memorable experience or highlight from your time with the Chamber?

Members dinner evening was lovely! The Hanover group exchange was truly a lovely cultural experience.

How has being a part of the BJC impacted your personal or professional life?

It’s encouraged me to be more outgoing, and creative through wreath making sessions, craft activities and social get togethers. Also, the film and book club allows you to meet lovely individuals.

Walking club hosted by our dear Zara (Membership Secretary) just gets you out to the little gems here in Brizzle and Somerset and the Sunday roast afterwards is something to look forward to.

What is your favourite event or activity that the BJC organises, and why?

The BJC Wine club, it is great value, and Oli puts his heart and soul into everything he does, its affordable and genuinely a fun evening!

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about becoming a member of the BJC?

Do it, definitely!

What makes the BJC stand out from other networking or professional groups?

Great community and long-lasting friendships .

Can you talk about a time when you felt especially proud to be a member of the BJC?

Definitely on the Hanover exchange. We felt so honoured to be hosted by some lovely Hanoverians. It was so lovely to participate in all their activities which included a food tour, group cultural tours around the city and with the opportunity to learn a bit of history. It is amazing to have that connection with the WJH and to see it continue.
