Five minutes with… Russ Landau

Russ has been a member of BJC since April 2016.  Russ joined the BJC because he was recommended by James Forward, who suggested it as a great way to meet young professionals and also explore more of Bristol through the various events and amazing activities BJC peeps put on.  Some might find it strange to read that Russ’ BJC highlights to date have not been the balloon fiesta night glow; members dinner; summer social BBQ; or the Christmas party on the grain barge… but instead supporting fellow CofM member, Jack Callow, on his mission to visit every Bristol pub during his Avonmouth ‘leg’ – what an experience!

Russ works as an HR Project Manager at EY, and lives in sunny Knowle on the 2nd highest road in Bristol, no less. Having previously lived in London for five years, he decided to move back to Bristol to be closer to friends, family, and the great outdoors.  Last year Russ joined the CoM and is the current Chair of Social and Events, alongside Danielle Argent.  He says “organising all of the main BJC social events this year has sometimes been challenging but most of all a lot of fun, and very rewarding!

BJC is a great organisation and its success is dependent on voluntarily commitment of our members”.  With our 69th Annual Dinner fast approaching Russ would encourage everyone to buy their tickets soon before they sell out, and if anyone is interested in sponsoring the event to speak to him ASAP!
