Not dissuaded by the drizzle 14 intrepid cyclists set off from Bristol on Saturday for a 35 mile round trip to Myrtle Farm for a tour of the Thatchers cider mill. Following a hearty pub lunch in Churchill and clad in attractive hi-viz jackets the group thoroughly enjoyed exploring the orchard and learning about the family company’s 100 year old history and the cider making process from the very knowledgeable Phil – not forgetting an opportunity to sample some of the classics afterwards at the Railway Inn! A cracking experience and thanks to all those who took part.
