Expect ideas, collaboration, and the opportunity to leave your mark on the future of the Chamber. It’s not your usual format… and it may or may not involve pizza. 🍕

The West of England Careers Hub is currently seeking employers to offer traditional five-day work experience placements for Year 10 students during June and early July 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity for members, and their organisations, to support young people in gaining valuable insight into the world of work, while also developing future talent pipelines and strengthening links with the local community.
In addition, there is a growing need for daytime workplace visits for small groups of SEND students and those in alternative learning provision. These visits can have a significant impact, helping to build confidence, raise aspirations, and provide meaningful exposure to different career paths.
If you or your employer are able to support in any capacity, please contact Adam Shea, Chair of Education and Skills for further information.

Something that has not yet made its way on to the curriculum of schools up and down the country is financial education. This is vitally important, and something that should have been taught in schools for many years. There is now an opportunity to change this for the younger younger generation. If you would like to find out how you can get involved, please get in touch with our Vice President, Connor Jones, for more information.
