How long have you been a member of the BJC?

Since September 2025

Why did you join?

I wanted to expand my professional and personal network and contribute to the local business community. I was keen to develop my leadership and project skills outside of my day-to-day role, while connecting with like-minded professionals. The Chamber’s wide range of social opportunities particularly appealed to me, as I’m keen to broaden my network beyond work and build new friendships with people from different backgrounds and sectors.

Outside of work and the BJC what do you like to do with your spare time?

I perform with an amateur musical theatre group in Newport and love travelling, music festivals, collecting vinyl records, cooking, reading, amateur photography, socialising with friends and the occasional (sometimes successful) craft project. I’m always up for trying something new!

Do you have a favourite event on the BJC calendar?

The wine tasting evenings, usually centred around a particular theme, are always a personal highlight of mine, although, the forthcoming Hannover exchange was a real pull factor for joining the Chamber and meeting the Hanoverians at the 2025 Summer Social was a great experience.

What’s the best thing about Bristol?

Its reputation! Every time you tell someone you’ve got ties to Bristol, you immediately get a rundown of how cool it is. Great vibes, creative, alternative…anything goes!

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself.

I’ve lived in nine different towns and moved house 17 times in 14 years…and I still haven’t mastered packing a suitcase effectively.
