How long have you been a member of the BJC?

About a year and a half.

Why did you join?

I wanted to get to know more people in Bristol and take part in the various activities offered by the BJC. As a keen linguist who loves to travel, I was also really excited by the idea of the twinned trips with Hannover and Bordeaux.

Outside of work and the BJC what do you like to do with your spare time?

I enjoy cooking, travelling, and hiking. I also like doing crafts in my spare time, and can often be found eating my way around Bristol and trying new places!

Do you have a favourite event on the BJC calendar?

I’ve loved the different walking club events and am excited to attend the balloon fiesta this year!

What’s the best thing about Bristol?

Have I mentioned the food?! Besides that, I love how much Bristol has to offer as a city, whilst also being so close to wonderful countryside, meaning that you can get outdoors and explore quickly too.

Tell us an interesting fact about yourself.

I’ve lived and worked in three different countries; my first job out of university was as a travelling wedding dress sales representative for German-speaking countries!
