I moved to Bristol last year from the US. It was a huge change and I was looking for ways to make new friends and connections in my new home. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found BJC! It has made my transition here over the last year so much easier both personally and professionally.
Outside of work and the BJC what do you like to do with your spare time?
I love to read! You’ll often catch me reading at a coffee shop or at Bristol Central Library. The BJC Book Club has been helping me work towards my goal of 60 books this year. I’ll also take any excuse to bake a cake, and love experimenting with new recipes.
Do you have a favourite event on the BJC calendar?
There’s a special place in my heart for Spring Drinks. It was my first BJC event and such a great way to meet young professionals from across Bristol. I also love the monthly speakers because it gives me the opportunity to meet and hear from people, I never would have had the chance to learn from otherwise.
What’s the best thing about Bristol?
There is always something to do here!
Tell us an interesting fact about yourself.
I was in the circus as a kid. I’ve done everything from walking on stilts, spinning plates, and even a flying trapeze!
